Plane Crash in Arizona Mountains on Thanksgiving Eve Kills 6
A dad, his three kids, and two other adults were killed in a plane crash on the Superstition Mountain in Phoenix, Arizona early on November 23, 2011.
The casualties were identified as pilot Shawn Perry, 39, and his three children, Morgan (9), Logan (8), and Luke (6). He was flying his private plane together with co-pilot Russell Hardy and mechanic Joseph Hardwick. They all died in the crash.
Mr. Perry, a pilot by profession and owner of a local aviation business, went to pick up his children who were supposed to spend the Thanksgiving weekend with him. The kids lived with his ex-wife, who it also a pilot.
It is really a sad event and no matter how huge the crash insurance that the mother will get for the accident, it is just not worth it. But some things just happened and we just condole the mother and their relatives in this time of great loss.
A lot of people do fly with travel insurance because in any eventuality, their families will get something in their death. This is especially beneficial if the traveler is also the breadwinner and his death will bring a great emotional and financial distress to the family. While the insurance benefits will not be enough to cover the loss of a loved one, the transition and coping will be made a wee bit easier if the families do not have to scramble for their next meal.
